The problem

Most Irish business sales never actually happen.

Owners decide to sell, post on DAFT or tell a few contacts, then watch the months drag by. The deal stalls or never starts — and the value walks out the door when they finally close the doors.

01 / Tyre-kickers

Listing privately attracts the wrong people

No NDAs. No vetting. Strangers asking for your accounts on day one. Half of them are competitors fishing for information.

02 / Wrong buyers

Generic marketplaces price you like a used car

A trades business doesn't sell the same way a SaaS app does. Without sector-specific positioning, you get low-ball offers from buyers who don't understand what they're looking at.

03 / Walk-away

The "I'll just close the doors" mindset

20 years of goodwill, client relationships and recurring revenue — thrown away because the sale felt too hard. We see this every week.

What you get

End-to-end. Done by us.

You keep running the business. We run the sale. From the first conversation to the wire transfer, Bizmark is the only thing standing between you and a successful exit.

We value it properly

Indicative valuation built on sector multiples, regional benchmarks and your actual numbers. No back-of-envelope guesses. You see the working.

We find serious buyers

Anonymised listing on Bizmark.ie and third-party marketplaces. Direct outreach to our 1,000+ vetted buyer network: trade buyers, search funds, serial acquirers.

We negotiate to close

NDAs signed. Financials verified. Offers managed. Due diligence supported. We work alongside your solicitor and accountant through to completion.

How the engagement runs

Four steps. One outcome.

Most managed sales close within 4 to 9 months. Here's exactly what happens.

01 Value

Price the business

We take 1–2 weeks to build an indicative valuation and Information Memorandum. You see it before any buyer does.

02 List

Get it in front of buyers

Anonymised listing goes live. Direct outreach to our buyer network begins. You stay invisible.

03 Vet

Filter the noise

Every interested buyer signs an NDA and is qualified for funding and intent. Only the serious ones get to you.

04 Close

Negotiate to completion

We manage offers, due diligence and contract back-and-forth alongside your solicitor. You sign. You get paid.

Pricing

Tiered by sale price. No surprises.

An upfront Engagement Fee covers the valuation and Information Memorandum — and is fully credited against the Success Fee at close. If your deal completes, you only ever pay the Success Fee. If the sale figure is below the minimum, the minimum applies.

Sale price Engagement fee Success fee Minimum total
Up to €200,000€2,0006%€8,000
€200,000 – €500,000€3,0006% to €200k + 4%€15,000
€500,000 – €1,000,000€5,0006% to €200k + 4%€29,000
€1,000,000 +BespokeBy negotiation

Worked example: Your business sells for €300,000. You pay €3,000 at signing, then €13,000 at close (6% × €200k + 4% × €100k = €16,000, less the €3,000 already paid). No VAT — Bizmark is not VAT registered.

Why exclusive

A 6-month commitment. From both sides.

Bizmark only takes on managed mandates we can run properly. That means exclusive engagement, mutual investment, and a real timeline to close.

6 mo
Initial term, then 30 days notice either side. Not locked in forever.
100%
of our time on your sale — not split across competing brokers chasing the same buyers.
1,000+
vetted buyers on our network — trade buyers, search funds and serial acquirers.
Common questions

Before you ask…

Do I have to share my business name publicly?

No. Listings are anonymised. Buyers only see the trading name after signing an NDA you've approved.

What happens if I find my own buyer during the engagement?

The exclusive mandate means Bizmark earns the success fee on any sale completed during the term. We discuss specific situations openly — this isn't a gotcha.

What if the sale doesn't complete?

You keep the Engagement Fee work product (valuation + Information Memorandum). No success fee is due. The Engagement Fee itself is non-refundable.

Is the agreement Irish-law?

Yes. Irish law, Irish courts, Mediation Act 2017 dispute pathway. We'll happily share the template before you commit.

Ready to talk it through?

30-minute confidential call. No commitment, no sales pitch. If we're not the right fit, we'll tell you.
