As we scale, we're looking for a Fractional Chief Technology Officer to help shape and lead our technology strategy — ensuring our platform remains efficient, user-focused, and ready to evolve with our growing community.
The Role
As Fractional CTO, you’ll provide strategic technical leadership while ensuring operational excellence across our platform. You’ll work closely with our CEO and core team to align our tech roadmap with business goals, optimise systems performance, and lay the groundwork for future growth.

Time Commitment: ~8 hours/week
Location: Galway, Ireland or Remote (Ireland/UK time zone preferred)
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute a clear, scalable technology strategy aligned with Bizmark’s growth plans.
- Lead technical delivery to meet product roadmaps and business KPIs.
- Oversee platform infrastructure, uptime, cost-efficiency, and ongoing optimisation.
- Ensure strong platform security, GDPR compliance, and data integrity.
- Manage third-party developers and tech partners to deliver high-quality results.
- Build and support internal tech capacity as we grow (including future hires).
- Play an active leadership role in key business decisions beyond tech.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and proactive problem-solving.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience leading tech at an early-stage or scaling startup.
- Strong technical background with hands-on development experience.
- Confident decision-maker with the ability to prioritise and delegate effectively.
- Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure, platform security, and modern web architecture.
- Up-to-date knowledge of AI, UX, SEO and emerging tech trends — and how they impact product direction.
- Excellent communication skills, especially when liaising with stakeholders, non-technical teams, and partners.
- Experience managing budgets, forecasting, and resource planning in a lean environment.
